The classification of furniture & fixture designs are mainly by way of the period in which the design was first adopted, baptized, or made widely available. Of course, there are umpteen examples of furniture designs classified by their materials and their country of origin, but in no other industry is the trend of naming a particular product style by “the period of origin” as prevalent as it is in the case of the furniture industry.
Mid-century furniture is a style that was first coined in the United States but like everything else American during that era, the cues were heavily influenced by Scandinavian, German & generally, by European design. Typically, mid-century furniture design refers to the peculiar styling elements right after World War 2. However, you can also get away with bucketing furniture styles from a couple of decades ago. We’ll get to that later.
Due to the diversity in quirky designs, finding a single specialist who works all types of mid-century designs is quite difficult. Boutique manufacturers like us here at FurnitureRoots act as mid-century furniture designs & we have to constantly experiment with novel designs based on new orders or by way of making them first-hand for commercial furniture projects
Our mid-century furniture designs are borrowed from art deco, art noveau & industrial furniture designs, if you have a custom design, please share the same with us, we'll be glad to put them into production specially for your requirements
