STAINLESS STEEL OR MILD STEEL?

Mixing iron-ore with raw materials like chromium, silicon, nickel, and a few others results in stainless steel with an invisible coating that adds to the durability characteristics of the furniture.

However, stainless steel is also slightly more complicated, expensive to manufacture and uses chromium as the alloying agent that makes it a little less cost-effective when compared to its counterparts like mild steel

The distinguishing aspect between mild steel furniture and stainless steel furniture is the alloying element. In the case of mild steel, the alloying element is carbon which offers a whole plethora of benefits but also results in furniture that loses its ductility and offers lower corrosion resistance when compared to stainless steel furniture.
